Moved on to Cape Kiwanda

We left Netarts this morning and are now at Cape Kiwanda RV Resort. The drive today was short, about 20 miles south.
leaving Tillamook under swirling clouds
happy cows making milk happily for the cheese factory no doubt
Tillamook is known for its quilt squares adorning many buildings in the area
like on the side of this barn
the hidden hills ahead of us are trapping the clouds
free range chickens, producing healthy eggs for us
a glimmer of blue
got a good chuckle - groceries AND firearms, hopefully not in the same aisle
blue sky over Pacific City and Cape Kiwanda, as we turned off Highway 101
on to Brooten Rd

We were parked, hooked up, and ready for a walk by 1PM.
No wonder the resort was fully booked when we called earlier in the week. It was the Cape Kiwanda Longboard Classic, a surfing competition.
The beach was a hubbub of surfers, onlookers, vehicles, and vendors. And a might more crowded than when we first came here this past June.

But the scenery was still just as spectacular, with the remaining mist slowly disappearing.  It was another gorgeous warm day at the Oregon coast. In September!

Amidst all the activity, a dory boat signaled its approach and landed right on the beach. They certainly move fast.

Even here at Cape Kiwanda there are quilt blocks on buildings.
